You'll be working on

Arbitrage trading bot (aka Unified) – Gravity Team’s high-frequency arbitrage trading system that powers the majority of our trading volumes. Unified runs 24/7 across 30+ global crypto exchanges, executing millions of trades monthly. It’s the brain of our market making strategy – constantly deciding what, where, and how much to trade. You’ll join a team of experienced engineers and quant-minded traders who are obsessed with performance, uptime, and scaling arbitrage across fragmented crypto markets globally.

What you will do

• Own core strategy code – work directly on the main arbitrage strategy components in Rust.
• Exchange integrations – lead complex API integrations and optimize performance across venues.
• Find clever workarounds - identify and exploit non-obvious behaviors in exchanges and come up with smart, unconventional fixes that give us a competitive edge.
• OTC systems & matching engines – support development of internal OTC infrastructure, matching logic, and colocation efforts.
• Strategy rollout – integrate and deploy strategy updates end-to-end, including parameter tuning and risk checks.
• System maintenance – improve reliability, latency, and scalability of existing Unified components.
• Cross-team collaboration – work closely with Infrastructure, Operations, and other teams to scale trading systems.
• Incident Response - Participate in our critical systems’ support duties.

What we expect

• 5+ years of experience building performance-critical backend systems (ideally trading, financial applications, hedge funds, FX, HFT, or exchange infrastructure)
• Strong hands-on skills of multiple backend programming languages & frameworks. Experience with Rust or other compiled programming languages is a plus.
  
• Curiosity to understand trading systems – eagerness to dive into market microstructure, matching engines, and order routing to build better execution logic.
• Data-driven mindset – ability to analyze large datasets, pull from databases, and use data to drive engineering decisions.
• Comfort with scale and critical systems – you’ve worked on systems in a production environment where reliability and speed directly impact revenue.
